outlet An outlet is a plug in the wall that is not to be pulled by the cord.
triple beam balance A triple beam balance measures the mass of an object.
density Density is the mass of an object per square unit.
volume volume is the amount of space in an object or how much space an object takes up.
mass Mass is the property of an object that determines acceleration.
chemical change A chemical change is a change that cannot be changed back.
physical change A physical change is a change that can be changed back.
periodic table A periodic table shows elements such as metals, non-metals and metalloids.
chemical equation A chemical equation is a way of describing a chemical change or reaction.
proton A proton is a positive charge located in the nucleus of an atom.
neutron A neutron is no charge located in the nucleus of an atom.
electron An electron is a negative charge located on shells of an atom.
balanced force Balanced force occurs when the total of all forces on an object equal zero.
unbalanced force An unbalanced force occurs when the total of all forces on an object is more than zero.
newton's first law An object at rest will stay at rest until acted upon by another force (inertia).
newton's second law The acceleration of an object by a force is inversely proportional to the mass of an object and the force.
newton's third law For every action, there is a reaction.
speed Speed is how fast an object is moving.
distance Distance is the amount of space covered.
acceleration Acceleration is an object's velocity over time.
