Science Wonderful Winter Wrap Up Overview

TermDefinition
Triple beam balance This is used to measure weigh in grams.
Graduated Cylinder This is used to measure liquids in milliliters.
Hand Lens This is used for Looking at something small that might be hard to see with your eyes.
Test Tube This is used to hold liquids when testing them.
Petri Dish This is used to hold baterias.
Velocity An object's speed and direction.
Acceleration A change in velocity in time.
Force A push or a pull.
Balanced Force An object that is not in motion.
Unbalanced Force An object that is in motion.
Physical Change A change without chemically changing the substance.
Chemical Change A change chemically in a substance.
Molecule When two or more elements combined.
Reactants Substances that go through a chemical change.
Products Substances that result from the chemical change.
Law of Conservation of Mass Balanced equations
Element Molecule Molecule of 1 type of atom.
Compound Molecule A molecule of more than one atom.
Diatomic Molecule Molecule made of two atoms.
Coefficient Tells the number of molecules.
