Friction A force that holds back the motion of an object
Traction The friction between two objects that keeps them from sliding across each other.
Adhesion The sticking together of two different materials .
Cohesion The material sticking to itself.
Lubricant A substance that reduces friction
Drag The friction that slows an object as it moves forward through air or water.
Gravity Falling towards the center of the earth. The force God created.
The law of universal gravitation The closer things are to one another, the more powerful the attraction.
Terminal Velocity The object will continue at the same velocity; it will not speed up or slow down.
Centripetal Force A force that acts on a body moving in a circular path and is directed toward the center around which the body is moving.
