TermDefinition
Circuit A roughly circular line, route, or movement that starts and finishes at the same place.
Conductor A person who directs the performance of an orchestra or choir.
Electric Crurent A flow of electricity through a conductor; "the current was measured in amperes.
Electric Discharge Electrical conduction through a gas in an applied electric field.
Electric Field A region around a charged particle or object within which a force would be exerted on other charged particles or objects.
Electric Force The electromagnetic force is one of the four fundamental interactions in nature, the other three being the strong interaction, the weak interaction, and gravitation.
Electric Power Electrical power: the product of voltage and current.
Ion forming nouns denoting verbal action.
Insulator A thing or substance used for insulation, in particular.
Parallel Circuit A closed circuit in which the current divides into two or more paths before recombining to complete the circuit
Resistance The refusal to accept or comply with something; the attempt to prevent something by action or argument.
Series Circuit A circuit having its parts connected serially.
Static Charge Static electricity is an imbalance of electric charges within or on the surface of a material. The charge remains until it is able to move away by means of an electric current or electrical discharge
Voltage An electromotive force or potential difference expressed in volts.
