| Term | Definition |

| Hypothesis | A statement of what you think will happen during an investigation. |
| Observation | Somthing that you find out about objects, events, or living things by using your senses. |
| Experiment | The use of scientific methods to test your hypothesis. |
| Varible | Something that can change in a test. |
| Control Group | The group that doesn't get the special treatment. |
| Procedures | Step-by-step instructions for completing a task. |
| Models | An object that represent other things. |
| Surveys | Questionares that are given to a number of people whos answeres are recorded. |
| Sampling | A way to collect data by examining random individuals. |
| Independant Varible | A varible that you can change. |
| Dependant Varible | It is what is measured. It changes when the independant varible changes. |
| Experimental Group | The group that gets the special treatment. |
