| rock cycle | the continuous series of changes that rocks undergo |
| sediment | particles of sand, soil, and bits of rocks |
| sedimentary rock | rock that forms when sand, particles of rock, bits of soil, and the remains of once-living things pressed together harden |
| streak | the color of a mineral when it is ground to a powder |
