What is the eyepiece? What you look through with your eyes.
What are the objective lenses? These magnify the lenses.
What is the fine adjustment? It moves the body tube slightly to bring the image into sharper focus.
What is the stage? This supports a slide.
What are stage clips? These hold the slide in place for viewing.
What is the base? This supports the microscope.
What is the arm? This supports the body tube.
What is the nosepiece? This holds the objectives and can be turned to change from one magnification to the other.
What is the course adjustment? It moves the body tube up and down to allow focusing of image.
What is the light source? This provides a light for viewing the slide.
What is a diaphragm? It controls the amount of light coming through the stage.
