conjunction joining words (and, but, or, because)
preposition e.g. at, but, of, on, two, by, in, before, over, behind. Connecting to the subject (the man jumped OVER the dog)
interjection Expresses exclamation. e.g. YAY! HORRAY!
antonym opposites, hot, cold. - in, out - up, down
homonym homo (same), same word different meaning. e.g. here, hear, hair, hare.
synonym same meaning different word. e.g. happy, excited, glad, ecstatic.
