The Scientific method

| Name the 7 processes of the scientific method: | Observation, Hypothesis, Experimentation, Collection and interpretation of data, Conclusion, Relating to conclusion And reporting and publishing results. |
| What is observation? | Is when something is noticed. |
| What is a hypothesis? | Is an educated guess based on an observation. |
| What is an experiment? | Is designed to test hypothesis. |
| What is Data? | Measurements, observations or information gathered from experiments. |
| What is a conclusion? | Is a summary of the results of an experiment. |
| What is a theory? | Is a hypothesis that has been supported by many different experiments. |
| Where does a principal law come from? | Arises from a theory that has been shown to be valid when tested over a long period of time. |
| What is an experiment? | Is a test for a hypothesis. |
| What is a variable? | Is a factor that may change in an experiment. |
| What is a control? | Is used to provide a comparison (or standard) against which the actual experiment can be judged. |
| What is a replicate? | is a repeat of an experiment. |
| What is Double Blind Testing? | Both the investigator and the participant are unaware of the nature of the treatment the participant is receiving. |
| What are ethics? | Relate to whether conduct is right or wrong |
| Define Science? | Is the study of the physical, material and living world. |
| Define Biology? | Biology is the study of living things. |
