Water, Wind, Glaciers Erosion transportation of sediments.
Chemical & Physical Weathering breaking down of rocks into sediments.
Concrete Composed of cement and aggregate
Cement Binding agent that holds particles together.
Shale fire grade, deposited in thin layers; lamina brittle, splits into sheets (fissile)
Conglomerate (Gravel Rock) Rounded particles and gravel sized
Breccia Angular particles
Clay Minerals Produced by chemical weathering.
Sedimentary Rocks 1. Clasitc or Detrital: Classified based on particle or sediment size. 2. Chemical: Precipitated from sea water.
Immature Angular (poorly sorted)
Mature Well sorted (one size)
Sorting Poorly sorted (many different sizes)
