| chloroplast | A green chlorophyll-containing, plant-cell organelle that converts sunlight, cabon dioxide and water into sugar. |
| cytoplasm | A constantly moveing, gel-like mixture inside a cell membrane that contains heredity. |
| Endoplasmic Reticulum | A cytoplasmic organelle that moves materials in and out of cells, and can be rough (with attached ribosomes) or smooth (without attached ribosomes) |
| golgi apparatus | organelles that package cellular materials and transports them withen a cell. |
| lysosomes | containing enzymes that digest particals and desinagrates the cell after its death. |
| mitochondria | A cell organelle that brakes down lipides and carbonhydrates and releases energy. |
| nuclear envelope | A double membrane sorrounding the nucleus within a cell. |
| nucleous | A rounded body within the nucleus in a cell. |
| nucleus | controles all cellular activities. |
| organelle | acts as a storage site, process energy, moves materials, or maufactior substances. |
| Plasma membrane (cell membrane) | protective outerlayer or covering of all cells, made up of fat-like molecules. |
| plastid | A stucture found in plant cells, some algae, and certain protozoians. |
| ribosome | in the cytoplasm of living cells where protines are synthasized. |
| vacuole | a membrane-bound cavity within a cell, often containing a watery liquid or secretion. |
