Scientific Method

TermDefinition
Bias A slanted view or one sided.
Conclusion The end or finish of an event or process.
Constant The Variable is Not changing; Staying the same in experiment.
Control Sample that is treated like other experimental groups except the independent variable.
Data Facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis.
Dependent Variable Factor that is being measured in an experiment.
Evidence Proof of something to help back up an statement.
Experiment A scientific procedure undertaken to make a discovery, test a hypothesis, or demonstrate a known fact.
Hypothesis An educated guess.
Independent Variable Variable that can be changed during an experiment.
Inference A conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning.
Model A smaller version of something.
Observation The action or process of observing something or someone carefully or in order to gain information.
Scientific Method A method or way to figure out a problem using six steps.
