Producer Produces its own food/energy.
Consumer Consumes other organisms for food/energy.
Predator Hunts another organism for food.
Prey Is the animal being hunted.
Parasite The organism that benefits from parasitism.
Host The organism that is harmed from parasitism.
Food Web Shows interconnected food chains in an ecosystem.
Ecosystem All living/non-living things that interact in a particular area.
Biotic Factor The living part of an ecosystem.
Abiotic Factor The non-living part of an ecosystem.
Population A group of the same species living in the same part of an ecosystem.
Community Different populations that live and interact within the same area.
Interdependence One depends on another.
Adverse Prevents organisms from helping each other.
Mutualism Relationship between organisms where they both benefit.
Commensalism Relationship between organisms where one benefits while the other does not benefit and not harmed.
Parasitism Relationship between organisms where one benefits and the other is harmed.
