QuestionAnswer
What is Kinetic Energy? Kinetic Energy is energy in motion.
What is Kinetic Energy influenced by? The mass and speed of an object.
What is Potential Energy? Energy that is stored.
What does Potential Energy depend on? An objects position or condition.
How many types of Potential Energy are there? 2
What are the two types of potential energy? Gravitational Potential Energy and Elastic Potential Energy
What are the 7 forms of energy? mechanical energy, chemical energy, Sound Energy, nuclear energy, thermal energy (heat), electromagnetic energy, and electrical energy.
What does electromagnetic energy represent? It represents light, and other things like radios.
What an examples of chemical energy? A bowl of fruit/food
What is are three examples of thermal energy? A light bulb, a fire or a stove.
What are two examples of mechanical energy? When a weightlifter raises the bar he transfers the potential energy to the bar. Another example is When a bow gains potential energy as it is drawn back by the archer.
What are four examples of Electrical energy? A toaster, lightning, lamps and batteries.
What are three examples of electromagnetic energy? A light bulb, the sun, radios, and microwaves.
What are two examples of nuclear energy? The sun or a nuclear power plant.
What are three examples of sound energy? A vacuum, an instrument, or a scream.
What is the definition of mechanical energy? Kinetic or Potential Energy associated with the motion or position of an object.
What is the definition of thermal energy? The total energy of the vibrating particles in an object.
What is the definition of chemical energy? The Potential Energy stored in chemical bonds( 2 or more atoms joined together).
What is the definition of electrical energy? The energy of electrons moving from atoms.
What is the definition of electromagnetic energy? The energy of light, FM, x-rays, microwaves and other forms of radiation.
What is the defintion of nuclear energy? The potential energy stored in the nucleus of an atom.
What is the definition of sound energy? The Kinetic Energy formed by waves moving through matter.
What is the definition of energy? A natural or artificial force used to give power to objects. It is the ability to cause change.
What is the definition of Elastic Potential Energy? Potential energy associated with objects that can be stretched or compressed.
What is the definition of Gravitational Potential Energy? Potential energy related to an objects height. It is equal to the work done to lift the object to that height.
Is a proton have a positive or negative charge? Positive charge.
Does a neutron have negative or neutral charge? Neutral Charge.
Does an electron have a positive or negative charge? Negative charge.
