| Cell membrane | Acts as a doorway or gate allowing certain materials in and out of the cell. |
| Cell wall | Gives shape and support; made up of cellulose. |
| Mitochondria | Powerhouse of the cell; where food is turned into usable energy, called ATP. |
| Lysosomes | Acts as garbage collectors of the cell; contains digestive enzymes that destroy any cellular waste. |
| Chloroplasts | Green organelle that is filled with chlorophyll; where photosynthesis takes place. Only found in plant cells. |
| Vacuoles | Stores water and nutrients in the cell; it is a storage tank. |
| Cytoplasm | Constantly moving gelatin like material of the cell; it contains all of the other cell organelles. |
| Nucleolus | Produces RNA. |
| Ribosomes | Makes proteins. |
| Golgi Body (Golgi Apparatus) | Processes, packages, and secretes proteins. |
