Why is the Mestric System used? It is easy to convert from one unit to another by just moving the decimal since the metric system is base ten. Scientists do not use the US customary units such as feet, yards, miles, pounds.

Independant Variable A change experimenters make in an experiment. Also known as the manipulated variable. IV changes fist
Dependant Variable Change that responds to the IV. This change depends on the IV. This change is the data colleced or the data measured to determine if the IV has an effect. This change occurs after the IV
Constant The factors that must stay he same in oder for the experiment to be a fair test The experimenter may only change one variable (the IV) all oher factors must stay the same.
Conrol Standard of comparison
Fair test An experiment that only changes one factor
Repeaed trials Completing an experiment many times. This is done to make the experiment a fair test.
