cells
Question | Answer |
---|---|
Ribosome | An organelle within a cell that produces proteins. |
Endoplasmic Reticullum | Passageways that carry materials from one end of a cell to the other. |
Mitochondrion | Organelles that produce the energy a cell needs. |
Cytoplasm | The gel like filler between a cell wall and nucleus. |
Chromatin | The genetic strands within a cell that help to construct other cells (the database) |
Nucleus | The "control center" of a cell |
Cell Membrane | The cell membrane controls what comes in and out of a cell |
Cell wall | a rigged non-living material that surrounds a cell. |
Organelle | Tiny structures that carry out specific tasks within the cell. |
Golgi Body | Receives proteins from the endoplasmic reticullum and distributes them to the rest of the cell "like a protein mailman" |
Lysosomes | Small round structures that break down large food parts into smaller substances. |
Vacuole | Is located in the cytoplasm. Stores food, protein, water, and sometimes waste. |
Chloroplast | An organelle in a plant cell that takes sunlight energy and turns it into food for the cell. Also makes the green coloration in plants. |
