QuestionAnswer
Ribosome An organelle within a cell that produces proteins.
Endoplasmic Reticullum Passageways that carry materials from one end of a cell to the other.
Mitochondrion Organelles that produce the energy a cell needs.
Cytoplasm The gel like filler between a cell wall and nucleus.
Chromatin The genetic strands within a cell that help to construct other cells (the database)
Nucleus The "control center" of a cell
Cell Membrane The cell membrane controls what comes in and out of a cell
Cell wall a rigged non-living material that surrounds a cell.
Organelle Tiny structures that carry out specific tasks within the cell.
Golgi Body Receives proteins from the endoplasmic reticullum and distributes them to the rest of the cell "like a protein mailman"
Lysosomes Small round structures that break down large food parts into smaller substances.
Vacuole Is located in the cytoplasm. Stores food, protein, water, and sometimes waste.
Chloroplast An organelle in a plant cell that takes sunlight energy and turns it into food for the cell. Also makes the green coloration in plants.
