The Energy Connection is organisms in a prairie or any community, can be divided into 3 groups based on how they get energy. These groups are producers, consumers, and decomposers.
Producers are an organism that can make its own food by using energy from its surroundings.
Consumers is an organism that eats other organisms or organic matter.
Decomposers are organisms that gets energy by breaking down the remains of dead organisms or animal wastes and consuming of absorbing the nutrients.
Food Chain is the pathway of energy transfers through various stages as a result of the feeding of a series of organisms.
Food Web is a diagram that shows the feeding relationship between organisms in an ecosystem.
Energy Pyramid are a triangular diagram that shows an ecosystem's loss of energy, which results as energy passes through the ecosystem food chain; each row in the pyramid represents a trophic(feeding) level in an ecosystem, and the area of a row respects the energy in t
