QuestionAnswer
used for negative sentences; more common. It's easier to use because you don't have to worry about the tense. It goes before a verb.
지 않다 used for negative sentences; formal, but not always used in formal settings. Needs to be conjugated. It's negative verb ending.
지 않아요 present tense
지 않았어요 past tense
하다 turns nouns into verbs when combined.
공부 ---> study 공부하다 to study
생각하다 --> 생각 안 하다 to make negative verb
하다 --> 하지 않다 "to do" verb with negative ending
누구 who
Subject markers: 이 / 가 emphasize the subject and shows ‘who’ did something, or ‘what’ is being described.
Topic markers: 은 / 는 emphasize the topic of your sentence and shows ‘what’ or ‘whom’ you are talking about.
누구 + 가 = 누구가 --> 누가
누가 ONLY used when you are emphasizing ‘who’ as the subject of an action or state.
Who is it? 누구예요?
Who did it? 누가 했어요?
어떻게 How
Why
얼마 How much (money)
얼마나 How + adjective/adverb
어떻게 왔어요? How did you get here?
왜 안 왔어요? Why didn’t you come?
얼마예요? How much is it?
얼마나 자주 와요? How often do you come?
에서 “from” associated more often with locations.
부터 “from” associated more often with time.
까지 “to” or “until”
서울에서 From Seoul
서울부터 starting from Seoul
서울까지 (From somewhere else) to Seoul
지금까지 Until now
