what does it mean to describe a scientist as skeptical? Skeptics question both existing ideas and new hypotheses
Why is skepticism considered a valuable quality in a scientist? Skepticism is valuable because scientific understanding is always changing.
What is the main difference between quantitative and qualitative? Qualitative observations involve characteristics that cannot be measured or counted.
In what two ways can a hypothesis be tested? A hypothesis is a proposed scientific explanation for a set of observations. One can be tested by performing a controlled experiment or by gathering more data.
Is a scientific hypothesis accepted if there is no may to demonstrate that the hypothesis is wrong? Explain your answer. No. Scientific hypotheses must be proposed in a way that enables them to be tested.
