Meteorologist Scientist who studies the causes of the weather and try to predict it.
Barometer An instrument that is used to measure changes in air pressure
thermometer An instrument used to measure temperature
psychrometer An instrument to measure heat and speed
Wind Vane A instrument that tells what direction the wind goes
humidity a measure of water vapor in the air
precipitation any form of water that falls from the sky
wind the horizontal movement of air from an area of high or low pressure
stationary front warm air and cold air masses push into each other and neither one takes control
occluded front warm air mass caught between two cold air masses
continental a dry air mass that forms over land
maritime a humid air mass that forms over oceans
