Fishing

TermDefinition
Live Bait Any natural, living organism that can be employed to catch fish.
Monofilament Line A thin string made from a single fiber, most fish lines are made from this because its strength.
Braided Line Any of the typical, woven product. (best used on conventional reels)
Tackle All the equipment, such as rods, lines, bait, etc. used in angling (fishing)
Artificial Bait Bait that mimics a fish or other organim that a fish will eat.
Therapeutics concerned wtih the treatment of disease, treatment strategies.
Mitigation to make less severe or intense
Bait Cast Reel A revolving spool fishing reel that is mounted above the rod
Stocking Adding fish to a unit of water
Fresh Water Rod A long flexible pole usually used with a reel used in fresh water to catch fish.
Natal Pertaining to birth, usually in the context of fish returning to their place of spawn.
Saltwater Rod A Saltwater Rod is long, flexible length of glass fiber composite, carbon fiber composite or, bamboo, used to catch fish that specifically designed to catch saltwater fish.
Cast To hurl or throw a fishing line with bait into the water.
Spinning reel A cyclindrical device attached to a fishing rod used in winding and stowing line.
