Political Geography

TermDefinition
Compact A state in which the distance from the center to any boundary does not vary significantly
Elongated A state with a long, narrow shape
Prorupted A large projecting extension
Perforated A state that includes several discontinous
Landlocked No coastline , surrounded by land
Democracy A system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives
Communism A Communist state is a sovereign state with a form of government characterized by single party rule or dominant party rule
Monarchy A form of government with a monarch at the head.
Theocracy A System of government in which priests rule in the name of God or a god
Republics A state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives
Artisocracy Which power is held by the nobility
Oligarchy A small group of people having control of a country, organization or institution
Political Relating to the government or the public affairs of a country
Cooperate Work toward the same thing
Military Characteristic of soilders or armed forces
Economic Related to economics or the economy
