Tide pools and ocean floor

What is a tide pool? hollow of rocks containing sea creatures when the tide goes out
What is the ocean floor like? looks very much like the earth"s surface
What is sonar? under water radar. Bounces sound waves off the ocean floor in order to measure the depth of the water
How is an island made? by an underwater volcano
What is coral? tiny invertebrates that take limestone from seawater to build reefs
What is a reef? islands made by invertebrates
What is sediment? matter that settles to the bottom of a liquid
