What is incomplete dominance? When genes combine and make a new trait
What are sex cells? Each sperm or egg cellhas 23 chromosomes, you get them from your parents
What are body cells? Each has 46 chromosomes, 23 pairs
What type of genes can a person with A blood give? AA, AO
What type of genes can a person with AB blood give? AB
What type of genes can a person with B blood give? BB, BO
What type of genes can a person with O blood give? OO

What is amniocentesis? It is used to test cells of an unborn baby
What are autosomes? Chromosomes that do not determine the sex of a person
What are sex chromosomes? Chromosomes that determine the sex of a person, the X and the Y chromosome
What is sickle cell anemia? A disorder where red blood cells are shaped like sickles, this is an example of incomplete dominance
Do all living things have the same number of chromosomes? No
Meiosis Chromatids are suppose to split apart during this, if they do not separate correctly a problem will occur
What is Down syndrome? When a person has an extra chromosome
What is PKU? A disorder where some chemicals in the body do not break down correctly and can harm the brain cells
What is an observed result? Something that you can see
What is an expected result? Something that you expect to happen based on your predictions in a punnet square
What is genetic counseling? When a person looks at genetics to predict what disorders your kids might have
What gene types control blood types? A, B, O
