What are sea mounts? Sea mounts are underwater volcanoes.
What is the relatively flat area that extends from the shoreline to the continental slope? Continental Shelf.

How do currents distribute heat? Carrying warm water from equator to poles and cold water from the poles to the equator.
What has harmful effects on important food species? Over-fishing.

What is an important source of food and mineral resources? Oceans
What supplies most of the oxygen for the atmosphere and the oceans? Algae
What mixes at the Chesapeake Bay? Fresh and Salt Water
In the ocean where do cold dense water sink? Near the Antarctica (Antarctic Bottom Water)
