If areas are uplifted by tectonic processes then the orginal caves and caverns move down and new caves and caverns will form aboce in the acidic groundwater causing them to have a honeycomb affect. If areas are uplifted by tectonic processes then the original caves and caverns move up and become dry and new caves and caverns will form below in the acidic groundwater causing them to have a honeycomb affect.
