What are the three major climate zones and what are there temperature ranges? tropical(0 to 30 degrees), temperate(30 to 60 degrees), and polar ( 60 to 90 degrees)
What degrees is the highest angle? 90 degrees.
The atmosphere is warmed by? radiation, convection, and conduction.
What do low pressure systems ride on? jet stream
What four major factors affect climate? Latitude, elevation, proximity to oceans, and position relative to mountains.
What creates weather? The transformation of energy(heat) between the Earth's surface and atmosphere.
What is the jet stream? A fast moving river of wind that is found at the top of the troposphere or at the bottom of the stratosphere.
Name the types of clouds. Cirrus clouds, Cumulus clouds, stratus clouds.
What does cP stand for? Continental polar.
How does wind move? From high pressure to low pressure.
