How are tides caused? By the gravitational pull of the sun and moon
What is El Nino? An upwelling that stops off the coast of Peru and water warms
What are most waves generated by? Wind
What is the single largest reservoir of heat on Earth? The ocean
How are seafloor features caused? By plate tectonics include mid-ocean ridges and trenches
What is a Abyssal plain? Is the relatively flat seafloor from the continental rise to the mid-ocean ridge
What are Seamounts? Seamounts are underwater volcanoes
What supplies most of the oxygen for both the atmosphere and the ocean through photosynthesis? Algae
