Astronomy #2

What are comets? Orbit the sun and are made up of frozen gases. The comet’s tail always points away from the sun because of the solar wind (radiating heat waves)
What are meteoroids? left over pieces of a comet’s tails floating in space. Meteor is when the pieces enter the Earth’s atmosphere where the burn up. Occasionally a Meteor will strike the Earth, then it is called a Meteorite
