Describe two types of planets in our solar system? 1.Small, rocky, high density inner planets all inside the asteroid belt (Terrestrial or inner planets) 2.Large, gaseous, low density outer planets that are outside the asteroid belt (Jovian or outer planets)
What is the Big Bang Theory? Big Bang theory is most widely accepted theory for how universe formed. Doppler Shift toward the red end of the spectrum is evidence that the universe is expanding
What are Galaxies? Galaxies are collections of billions of stars. The basic types are spiral, elliptical (football shaped) and irregular. Our solar system is part of the Milky Way which is a spiral galaxy
What is a Solar Nebula? Solar Nebula is huge, vast clouds of ice, gas and dust
