What creates weather? The transfer of energy(heat) between Earth's surface and atmosphere
What does weather describe? The current state of the atmosphere or day to day changes in atmospheric conditions
What does the climate describe? The typical (average) weather patterns of certain location over a period of time
What are the four major factors that affect the climate? Latitude, elevation, proximity to oceans and positive relative to mountains
What is Earth's surface heated by? The sun
Winds are created by what? By the uneven heating of the Earth's surface
What is a jet stream? A fast moving river of wind that is found at the top of a troposphere or the bottom of a stratosphere
How is the atmosphere warmed? Radiation
What does convection cause? Warm air to reach its dew point and condense
How can weather be predicted? By using the cloud type
