What is the order of planets from the Sun? 1. Mercury, 2. Venus, 3. Earth, 4. Mars, 5. Jupiter, 6. Saturn, 7. Uranus, 8. Neptune.
Which two planets have no tectonic plate tectonic activity? Mars and Mercury.
Inner planets are similar in: Composition: iron and nickel cores, mantles and crust
What do comets do and what are they made up of? Orbit the sun and are made up of frozen gases.
What are meteoroids? Left over pieces of a comet's tails floating in space
What are meteors called after it strikes Earth? Meteorites
What is the Impact Theory? 25. The Impact Theory states that the Moon formed when a large object struck the Earth and material from inside the Earth was ejected out in space and this material formed the moon.
Explain solstice. When the sun is at its most northern point or at its most southern point.
How long does it take for the Earth to revolve around the sun? 365 days or one year.
What causes the seasons? The Earth tilted on its axis, The tilt combined with revolution.
