| Cell Membrane | Structure that helps materials go in and out. |
| Cell Wall | Stiff structure outside cell membrane that provides support for the cell. |
| Chloroplasts | Located in the cytoplasm that contains chlorophyll to make food for the plant cells. |
| Chromosomes | Located in the nucleus that controls cell and transmit heredity. |
| Endoplasmic Reticulum | A jellylike substance that provides energy in the cell. |
| Golgi Bodies | Structure that transports material through a cell. |
| Mitochondria | Structure that produces energy. |
| Nuclear Membrane | Structure that surrounds nucleus to separate the nucleus from the rest of the cell. |
| Nucleus | Controls center activities. |
| Ribosomes | On the ER and provides protein to the cell. |
| Vacuole | Stores water, food, and other wastes and helps get rid of the wastes. |
| Prokaryote | Doesn't have nucleus. |
| Eukaryote | Has a nucleus. |
| Mitosis | Parent cell that makes a copy of itself. |
| Meiosis | Parent cell that divides twice. |
| Monomer | Single molecule that can be joined to form a larger molecule. |
| Polymer | Compound made up of several monomers. |
| Carbohydrates | Main energy source is the living things. |
| Lipids | Used to store energy. |
| Proteins | Made up of amino acids. |
| Nucleic Acids | Stores and transmits genetic or hereditary information. |
