Cell membrane It surrounds the cytoplasm and nucleus
Cell wall It is outside the cell membrane that provides support
Chloroplasts It contains chlorophyll and is found in plant cells
Chromosomes Found in the nucleus,they contain the code that controls the cell and transmits heredity characteristics
Cytoplasm jellylike substance that fills the cell that provides energy in the cell
Endoplasmic Reticulum It is found throughout the cytoplasm that tranports material through a cell
Golgi Bodies manufactures and moves material in the cytoplasm
Mitochondria It produces energy in the cell
Nuclear Membrane double layered membrane surrounding the nucleus of a eukaryotic cell
Nucleus control center for most of a cell's activities
Ribosomes located on the endoplasmic reticulum that provides protein for the cell
Vacuole stores water,food,and waste in a cell that helps get rid of waste
Prokaryote they have no nucleus and an example of a prokaryote cell is bacteria
Eukaryote they have a nucleus and some examples are plants,animals, and some fungi
Mitosis when a single cell divides into two identical cells
Monomer a molecule that may react chemially to another molecule of the same type to form a larger moleule
Polymer a compound made up of several repeating units
Carbohydrates organic compounds consisting of carbon,hydrogen,and oxygen
Lipids fats,oils and wax
Proteins a molecule composed of polymers of amino acids joined together by peptide bonds
Nucleic Acids a complex organic substance present in living cells whose molecules consist of many nucleotides linked in a long chain
