Cell membrane The semipermeable membrane surrounding the cytoplasm of a cell.
Cell wall The rigid outermost cell layer found in plants and certain algae, bacteria, and fungi but characteristically absent from animal cells.
Chloroplasts A chlorophyll-containing plastid found in algal and green plant cells.
Chromosomes A threadlike linear strand of DNA and associated proteins in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells that carries the genes and functions in the transmission of hereditary information
Cytoplasm Keeps all the organs of the cell in place
E.R. A membrane network within the cytoplasm of cells involved in the synthesis, modification, and transport of cellular materials.
Golgi bodies This organelle typically functions to carry proteins within the Cell and out of the Cell.
Vacoule Stores water and waste.
Prokaryote One cell ogranism
Eukaryote Multi cell organism
Mitosis The process in cell division by which the nucleus divides, typically consisting of four stages, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase.
Meiosis Division of cells in which four "daughter" cells are produced from one "parent" cell, each with half the genes of the parent.
Monomer Monomers can be defined as relatively small and simple molecules which bond together.
Polymer Any of numerous natural and synthetic compounds of usually high molecular weight consisting of up to millions of repeated linked units, each a relatively light and simple molecule.
Carbohydrates These are minerals to give you energy. They can be found in grain type of foods.
Lipids Is a broad group of naturally occurring molecules which includes fats, waxes, sterols, fat-soluble vitamins
Proteins Protein consists of small molecules called amino acids, joined together into long molecules called polypeptides.
Nucleic acid Any of a group of complex compounds found in all living cells.
