Auto Shape | A predesigned drawing object, such as a star, an arrow, or a rectangle. |
Banner | A headline that spreads the full width of the page. |
Blog | A journal maintained by an individual or a group and posted on a Web Site for public viewing and comment. |
Boilerplate Text | A common document part that you frequently use in documents. |
Building Blocks | Built-in documents part that are designed and formatted. |
Clip Art | A drawing that is ready to insert into a document. |
Crop | To cut off portions of the graphic that you do not want to show. |
Desktop Publishing | The process of creating a document using a computer to lay out text and graphics. |
Drawing Objects | Shapes, Curves, and Lines used to create your own graphic. |
Fields | Locations that indicate where you can insert variable text or data. |
Footer | Information and/or graphics that print in the bottom margin of the page. |
Graphics | Non-text items such as digital photos, scanned images and pictures. |
Header | Information and/or graphics that print in the top margin of the page. |
Manual Column Break | A break you can insert to adjust where a column ends. |
Section Break | A break that divides a document into multiple sections. |
Sizing Handles | Eight small circles and squares on the border of a graphic. |
Style | A set of formatting characteristics that you can apply to Characters, Paragraphs, Tables, and Numbered and Bulleted lists in your Document. |
Text Box | A drawing object the enables you to add text to artwork. |
Thumbnails | Miniature representations of pictures. |
