TermDefinition
Instrument A human-made device that extends the senses beyond their normal limits
Pollution When the concentration of any substance or form of energy reaches a proportion that adversely affects people
Volume The amount of space an object occupies
Transpiration Process by which plant release water vapor into the atmosphere
Ozone Layer of the atmosphere where much of the ultra violet insolation from the sun is absorbed
Deforestation Cutting down of trees
Dewpoint The temperature at which the air is filled with water vapor
Front Where two air masses of different characteristics meet
Tornado A rapidly rotating, extremely low pressure funnel that hangs from clouds
Barometer Instrument used to measure air pressure
