Mineral A naturally occuring inorganic solid with a definite chemical compound and order.
Crystal A soild in which atoms are arranged in orderly repeating patterns
Magma Non-melted rock material
Silicate Minerals that contain silicon & oxygen
Hardness The measure of how easily a mineral can be sratched
Luster The way a mineral reflects light
Streak The color of a mineral in powder form
Fracture Minerals that break along a flat smooth surface
Gem Beautiful rare highly prized minerals that can be worn in jewlery
Ore Deposit in which exists a large enough amounts to be mined for a profit
