What is stimuli? A change that affects the activity of an organism
What is homeostasis? the maintenance of a stable internal environment
What is DNA? the genetic material that controls the structure and function of cells
Sexual reproduction two parents produce offspring that share the characteristics of both parents
Asexual reproduction one parent produces offspring that are identical to the parent
What are the four needs of life? water, air, food, and a place to live
What is evolution? the process by which populations change over time
What happened on the Galapagos Islands? Darwin realized that the finches on each island have different sized beaks. They had adapted to the supply of food on the island.
What is artificial selection? When humans breed animals and plants for desired traits
