JUPITER (CONTINUED) - 5th planet from the sun - Faintest ring system - Has the most moons - Io- close to Jupiter - Lots of Volcanos
JUPITER (CONTINUED X2) - Volcano can go up to 600 feet - Calisto- close to asteroid belt - Europa- covered in ice
SATURN the sun 1 time - Most extensive ring system - Made out of rocks and ice - Ice chunks can be as big as a bus or house - If they collide they become smaller
SATURN (CONTINUED) - Planet is made out of hydrogen and helium - Has a great white spot - planet is so light that is can float in water - titan- biggest moon that orbits Saturn - there is methane in Titan
URANUS take Uranus 84.01 years to rotate around the sun 1 time - has moons that are very close together - Miranda is giant spots - Atmosphere contains visible clouds -it takes Neptune 164.8 years to rotate around the sun 1 time
URANUS (CONTINUED) got a blue color - contains methane - got its name from the Roman god of the sea - Farthest out
URANUS (CONTINUED X2) 2nd faintest ring system - Hardest to see - has atmospheric storms Can fit 15 Earths in Neptune -has the great blue spot -storms can be 1500 mph - has 13 moons - Triton moon- has volcanos that erupts cold methane gas
MERCURY -- Brownish, grayish color - Lots of highlands - has widest temperature range - can have a temperature of 1.050 degrees - Hot enough to melt led
VENUS -got its name from the goddess of beauty -atmosphere is very thick - reflects off its suns atmosphere -made out of poisonous gases -very toxic
VENUS (CONTINUED) Very dangerous - Hottest planet in the solar system - Giant solar collector - Most of Venus is covered with lava flows
EARTH -3rd planet from the sun - Water planet - Life - has a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere -geolnot as active as Venus - Magnetic field ogically active
EARTH (CONTINUED) has a moon -has a volcano that erupts every day - made out of 72% water on the surface
MARS - 90% of science fiction movies were about Mars - Red planet -has ice caps -has a canyon bigger than the Grand Canyon - Olympus Mons is the biggest volcano in the whole solar system
MARS (CONTINUED) - has iron oxide - Thin carbon dioxide atmosphere - Temperature range of 140 to -200 -huge dust storms - has 2 moons - has life - has dried up river beds
NEPTUNE -Neptune is cold -atmosphere contains visible clouds -takes 164.8 years to rotate around the sun 1 time - got a blue color -contains methane
NEPTUNE (CONTINUED) -got its name from the roman god of the sea -farthest out -2nd faintest ring system -hardest to see -has atmospheric storms -can fit 15 Earths on Neptune -has great blue spot -storms can be 1500 mph
