Immune Attack

TermDefinition
platelets small fragments of cells that stick to the edges of damaged blood cells and assist in blood clotting
neutrophil white blood cell that destroys many kinds of invading bacteria and other types of attackers
microphage white blood cell that eats bacteria as part of the immune response to infection
monocyte immune system cells that find and kill many kinds of bacteria
red blood cells move oxygen from lungs to the tissues and carbon dioxide from the tissues back to the lungs
