Name the 4 kinds of teeth. Incisors, canines, bicuspids, molars

What are your back teeth? Molars
What teeth are between the molars and canines? Bicuspids
Where does the food enter? Mouth
Where does the food travel to get to the stomach? Esophagus
Where does the food stay after going through the esophagus? Stomach
Where are all the proteins and minerals are absorbed? Small intestine
Where does waste exit? Anus
What are the physical changes in the mouth? Teeth breaks down food by chewing
What are the chemical changes in the mouth? Saliva soften the food and breaks it down
What are the physical changes in the esophagus? Food is pushed down into the stomach
What are the chemical changes in the esophagus? There is none
What are the physical changes in the stomach? Churns food by contracting stomach muscles
What are the chemical changes in the stomach? Acid bath soaks hydrochloric acid kills germs and enzymes break down
What are the physical changes in the small intestine? Absorption by villi peristalsis pushes food into large intestine
What are the chemical changes in the small intestine? Digestive juices from liver, pancreas, and gallbladder breaks down food
What are the physical changes in the large intestine? Non-used foods, seeds, blood cells, gum passes to the rectum
What are the chemical changes in the large intestine? Water is absorbed and waste is more solid
What are the physical changes in the rectum? Expele solid feces, may stay there for 1-2 days
What are the chemical changes in the rectum? There is none.
Name all the parts that take part in the waste removal. Skin, lungs, urethra, kidneys, ureter, bladder
What functions does the kidneys have? Removes water, removes salt, produces urine
What functions does the lungs have? Removes water, bring oxygen to blood, removes carbon dioxide, removes body heat
What functions does the skin have? Removes water, removes salt, removes body heat
What functions does the bladder have? Stores urine
What is the function of the excretory system? To remove wastes from your organism
Name the four organs of the excretory system. Liver, stomach, small intestine, large intestine
Why must wastes be eliminated from the body? So it wont poison the body
What does the liver do to defend our bodies from poisonous substances? It converts fats to sugar.
