| Barometer | Tool used to measure air pressure. |
| Hygrometer | Tool used to measure humidity. |
| Sling Psychrometer | Tool used to measure humidity. |
| Anemometer | Tool used to measure wind speed. |
| High Air Pressure | Air molecules which are cold, dense, heavy and sink. Shown on a weather map with an "H". |
| Low Air Pressure | Air molecules which are warm, less dense, light and rise. Shown on a weather map with an "L". |
| Land Breeze | Air moving from land to the ocean at night because the air over the land is cool and dense with a higher pressure than that over the ocean. |
| Sea Breeze | Air moving from the ocean toward the land during the day. The air over the ocean is cooler and more dense having a higher pressure than the hot air over the land. |
| Gulf Stream | Ocean current flowing from the Gulf of Mexico, along the eastern coast of the US across the Atlantic toward the UK. |

| Air Mass | Large mass of air taking on the characteristics of the area from which it forms. |
| Front | Boundary where two air masses meet. |
| Cold Front | When a cold air mass overtakes a warm air mass. |
