| Cotyledon | A seed leaf inside a seed |
| Xylem | A specialized plant tissue than transport water and minerals from one part of a plant to another |
| Phloem | A specialized plant tissue that transports sugar molecules from one part of the plant to another |
| Sepal | The leaf like structures that cover and protect an inmature flower |
| Petal | The often colorful structures on a flower that are usually involved in attracting pollination |
| Stamen | The male reproductive structure in a flower that consists of a filament topped by a pollen-producing anther |
| Pistil | The female reproductive structures in a flower that consists of a stigma, a style and an ovary |

| Ovary | In flowers, the structure containing ovules that will develop into fruit following fertilization |
| Taproot | The type of root that consists of one main root that grows downward, with many smaller branch roots coming out of it |
| Epidermis | The outermost layer of cells covering roots, stems, leaves and flower parts |
| Stomata | Openings in the epidermis and cuticle of a leaf that allow carbon dioxide to enter the leaf |
| Fibrous root | A type of root in which there are several coots of the same size that spread out from the base of the stem |
| Produce seeds in cones or fleshy structures on stems | Gymnosperms |
| Produce seeds within a fruit | Angiosperms |
| Evergreens | Conifers |
| Group of gymnosperms that consists of very unusual plants | Gnetophytes |
| Group of gymnosperms with only one living species | Ginkgoes |
| Gymnosperms that grow in the tropics | Cycads |
| Seed plants without flowers | Gymnosperms |
| Seed plants with flowers | Angiosperms |
| Flowers help angiosperms do this - | Sexually Reproduce |
| The two vascular structures in stems are | Xylem and Phloem |
| The main function of the leaves in a plant | Photosynthesis |
| Functions of Roots | Anchor Plant, Absorb water and minerals, Store Food |
| Angiosperms are divided into | Monocots and Dicots |
| Dicots | Roses, Cactuses, Sunflowers, peanuts, peas |
| Monocots | grasses, orchids, onions, lilies, and palms |
