QuestionAnswer
What are some examples of a chemical reaction? -cooking -explosions -burning -blood clotting etc.
Do exothermic reactions give out or use energy? Give out energy
What are three things that can increase molecular collisions? 1. Higher Temperature 2. Higher Concentration 3. More Surface Area
If the temperature is higher the reaction rate is? Faster.
What are the 3 states of matter? -Solid -Liquid -Gas
What is a chemical reaction? A chemical reaction is a reaction that forms new substances.
As the concentration goes lower the reaction rate gets? Slower.
What is the law of conservation of mass? The total mass of the reactants is always equal to the total mass of the products.
If there is more surface area, the rate of the reaction would be? Faster.
What type of energy is released during an exothermic reaction? Usually heat but also light, sound and electrical energy.
What type of reaction depends on energy to happen? an Endothermic reaction for example photosynthesis or baking bread.
what are the two main types of reactions? Physical and Chemical.
WHat are some examples of a physical reaction? -Melting Ice -freezing ice -blending -crushing something like fruit or ice -evaporation
