wave carry energy, never matter
mechanical the types of waves, which use matter to transfer energy.
electromagnetic waves that do not require matter to carry energy.
transverse energy & matter move at 90 degrees angles to each other.
compressional matter & energy in the same direction.
crest the high point of the transverse wave.
trough the low part of the transverse wave.
baseline where the center is of the transverse waves.
wavelength the distance of one wave to another.
compression where it compress in the compressional wave. where they are squeezed.
rare function where they are apart. In the middle of the compressional wave
frequency how often the wave goes faster and how high.
Translucent can see a little
Opaque where you can't see anything
Transparent you can see through
Reflect to put towards
Absorb to suck in
Transmit to put in
Amplitude distance to it and dept.
