TermDefinition
Allele Different forms of traits (like eye color)
Dominant A trait that will mask or overpower a gene represented by capital letters TT
Genetics Study of heredity or (what you get from your parents)
Genotype The letter combination for your genes ex: TT Tt tt
Heredity passing of traits to from parents to offspring
Heterozygous Hybrid You get two different alleles for a trait represented by Tt
Homozygous Purebred when the two alleles are the same represented by TT tt
Phenotype outward appearance what you actually look like Brown hair, freckles,
Recessive trait that is masked the "weaker" trait represented by tt
trait characteristic that is inherited; can be dominant or recessive
