QuestionAnswer
Seasons A subdivision of the year identified by the changes of weather and hours of daylight.
Direct light Light that hits a surface from a ninety degree angle.
Indirect light Light that hits a surface from more or less of a ninety degree angle.
Earth's tilt The tilt of the earth that causes the seasons to occur.
Orbit The circular path of an object around a another object in space.
Revolution(revolve) To go around an object.
Axis An imaginery line on which an object rotates.
Rotation(rotate) To move around in a circle on an axis.
Solstice Either of the two times in the year when the sun reaches its highest or lowest point.
Equinox Either of the two days when the hours of daylight and the hours of night are equal.
Moon phases(space view) The phases of the moon where the moon is in different positions around the earth but only half of the moon is illuminated.
Moon phases(earth view) The phases of the moon where different parts of the moon is illuminated.
Gibbous When the illuminated part of the moon is greater than a semi circle but less than a full circle.
Cresent When the illuminated part of the moon is less than a semi circle but greater than no circle.
Waxing When the illuminated part of the moon is increasing up to a full moon.
Waning When the illuminated part of the moon is decreasing down to a new moon.
