Science Inside Earth

Study for my science class quiz Inside Earth, how it works.

What is the Continental crust made of? What is the temperature, and how deep is it? The Continental crust is made of different kinds of rocks. The temperature varies from 200-400km. 5-70km.
What is the Oceanic crust made of? What is the temperature, and how deep is it? The top layer, about 500 metres thick, includes lavas made of basalt. -18 - 380C 5-10km.
What is the inner core made of? And how deep is it? What temperature is it? The inner core is a solid iron ball, and is about 2,400 kilometers in diameter. 2,700C
What is the mantle made of? How thick is it? What temperature is it? The mantle is made of melted rock. It is 2,900 kilometers thick. 1,450 - 1650. The outer core is a shell of liquid iron.
How do the scientists know what is inside Earth? Scientists understand what is inside earth by watching how seismic waves from earthquakes are bent by the different layers.
